Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Urboecology", "Protected Areas", "Fundamentals of Biogeography", "Fundamentals of Landscape Science". 2. Know the concepts of ecosystem, landscape, ecological network, give a characteristic of their components and properties. 3. Be able to establish the nature of the relationships between the causes of occurrence, consequences and ways to solve geoecological problems of the urban environment, carry out the selection and critical analysis of information and cartographic data sources.
Course content
an integral applied discipline that prepares future specialists for specific practically-oriented activities in the field of urban green infrastructure planning, development of a green framework and its integration into the city space. These tasks are extremely relevant given the rapid pace of urbanization processes and anthropogenic pressure on the urban environment. The discipline "Green Infrastructure of Urbanized Territories" is aimed at deepening theoretical geographical knowledge, developing special professional, social and personal competencies in students, accumulating knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural and constructive geography. Separate components of the discipline are the study of principles and methods of increasing the stability and ensuring sustainable development of elements of urban green infrastructure; methods of managing environmental processes within them; principles of rational use and protection of biotic components from the influence of adverse anthropogenic and technogenic factors; methods of conducting research on the consequences of adverse impacts on the condition of green spaces within the urban environment.
