Clinical biochemistry is an applied branch of biochemistry that, using theoretical knowledge and methods of biological chemistry in the field of clinical medicine, focuses on the study of molecular mechanisms of violations of biochemical processes in the body and methods of their detection for the purpose of elimination or correction. The training of a qualified doctor requires deep mastery of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of modern clinical biochemistry - because they significantly facilitate qualified and substantiated diagnosis, selection of treatment regimens for many diseases, and are also necessary when monitoring the course of the disease, monitoring the effectiveness of treatment and predicting the future quality of life.
