Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Proficiency in English B2-C1. 2. Successful mastering of the basics of the theory of biology, knowledge gained during the study of theoretical courses of such professionally-oriented disciplines as cytology, microbiology, botany. Ability to work independently with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during the study of the modern business Ukrainian language course; the ability to integrate the acquired knowledge is an indicator of the level of formation of students' general competencies.
Course content
The discipline "Foreign Language (English)" is aimed at forming in students an understanding of a foreign language as a means of obtaining, expanding and deepening systemic professional knowledge, as well as as a tool for independent professional development. The course prepares students for natural oral and written communication in the professional sphere, teaches them to select and use adequate language tools to create various types of texts - reports, articles, lectures, etc. The subject of study is to reveal to students the potential of a foreign language as a means of expanding their own linguistic, speech, linguistic, sociocultural and other competencies necessary for effective professional activity.
