PR03. Plan, perform, analyze data and present the results of experimental research in the field of biology. PR20. Argue the choice of methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for conducting research, processing and presenting results. PR22. Combine the skills of independent and teamwork to obtain results with an emphasis on integrity, professional integrity and responsibility for decision-making. PR27.6. Organize zoological research.

External form

1. Know the characteristic morpho-biological and ecological features of the main types of invertebrates and chordates. 2. Be able to apply knowledge to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific literature. 3. Have basic skills in using specialized computer programs for presenting data in text format, searching and analyzing information in specialized professional journals and the Internet.

The academic discipline "Methods of Zoological Research" is an elective academic discipline that is part of the professional training program for specialists of the "Bachelor" educational level in the "Biology" educational program. In classes in this discipline, students have the opportunity to obtain the necessary theoretical basis for independent planning and conducting scientific research in the field of zoology and ecology under grant funding, as well as to develop skills in presenting scientific results in detailed written form (term paper, diploma thesis, scientific publication) and in the form of written (poster) and oral reports. The knowledge obtained can be applied both in research in related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects. The academic discipline "Methods of Zoological Research" is closely related to such fundamental disciplines as zoology and ecology, and contains information of a mostly applied nature.

Lectures, independent work.

Semester assessment: 1. Modular test 1 (remotely): RN 1.1- 2.2 – 20 points / 10 points. 2. Modular test 2 (remotely): RN 1.1- 2.2 – 20 points / 10 points. 3. Presentations / reports on the topics of essays: RN 1.2, 2.2, 3.1 – 60 points / 30 points. Final assessment: in the form of a test.
