Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of scientific, theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of the "Bachelor" educational level. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of anatomy, physiology, cytology, general immunology and biochemistry. 3. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of laboratory research of indicators of the state of the immune system. 4. Possession of elementary skills in the application of immunological methods to establish violations of the functioning of various parts of the immune system. 5. Use of special literature to interpret the results obtained during the study of immunological indicators in various diseases.
Course content
The discipline highlights issues related to molecular mechanisms of implementation of various types of hypersensitivity reactions. The course is based on the classification of various types of hypersensitivity according to the mechanisms of immunopathogenesis. An important place is given to the issues of the features of the implementation of immune-mediated damage to tissues and organs of the body, cellular and mediator mechanisms of immunopathological reactions in reagent, cytotoxic, immune complex inflammation, as well as in the development of granulomatous reactions in various pathologies. Considerable attention is paid to the biochemical aspects of the implementation of allergic inflammation, the participation of various pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory mediators in the interaction of immune system cells and the role of immune system cells in the regulation of homeostasis of the body, the unique features of immunoregulatory mechanisms in ensuring the normal functioning of the body.
