PR01. Understand the social and economic consequences of implementing the latest developments in the field of biology in professional activities. PR04. Communicate orally and in writing on professional issues using scientific terms accepted in the professional environment, in the state and foreign languages. PR07. Possess methods of self-education and self-improvement. Be able to design a trajectory of professional growth and personal development, applying the acquired knowledge. PR22. Combine the skills of independent and teamwork to obtain results with an emphasis on integrity, professional conscientiousness and responsibility for decision-making.

External form

Before starting this course, students should know the main aspects of the following school subjects: "Man and the World", "Ethics", "History", "Social Studies". Be able to receive, analyze and interpret information about phenomena and aspects of the existence of the world and culture, understand the essence of philosophical problems, topics, ideas, be able to analyze philosophical and scientific texts. Have elementary skills in perception and analysis of information; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.

The discipline "Philosophy" is a mandatory educational component of the educational program of the first level of higher education for the preparation of applicants for a bachelor's degree in the specialty 091 Biology. The educational discipline "Philosophy" makes it possible to involve students in the worldview and methodological culture accumulated by humanity throughout the history of its existence, to show the holistic, integrative nature of knowledge about the world around us, to emphasize the fundamental importance for each person of his free worldview self-determination, the choice of an active life position, the creation of good by strengthening the state and society through his own activities. Philosophy here acts as a worldview and at the same time methodological foundation, on the basis of which the assimilation of humanitarian, general educational, fundamental and applied disciplines takes place. To a large extent, it is thanks to it that it becomes possible for students' consciousness to go beyond the limits of narrowly professional training, to focus on universal human values.

Semester assessment: 1. Modular test paper – RN 1.1-1.6, 2.3,2.5 – 20/10 points. 2. Oral reports – RN 1.1-1.2, 1.4-1.6, 2.1-2.2, 2.4-2.6, 3.1-3.2, 4.1-4.3 – 10/5 points. 3. Participation in the discussion – RN 2.4, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2 – 10/5 points. 4. Independent work (essay, analysis of a philosophical text and presentation of independent research) – RN 1.1-2.4, 2.6-3.2, 4.1-4.3 – 20/10 points. Summative assessment: in the form of an exam.
