PR23. Be able to use in production and social activities the fundamental concepts and categories of state formation to substantiate their own worldviews and political beliefs, taking into account the processes of socio-political history of Ukraine, legal principles and ethical norms.

To enroll in the course “Ukrainian and Foreign Culture,” students must have completed high school and possess basic skills in critically interpreting information about cultural processes and events.

The course “Ukrainian and Foreign Culture” introduces students to the main trends in the development of Ukrainian and foreign culture, explores the place and role of Ukrainian cultural heritage in the global context, and highlights the distinctive features of the formation of Ukrainian identity and the uniqueness of Ukrainian cultural heritage. Mastering this course enables students to explore the worldview and sociocultural foundations of humanity’s historical and cultural progress, the major artistic movements and figures that have shaped humanity’s cultural development, and the values and worldviews underpinning societal development across various historical periods. Significant emphasis is placed on a comprehensive study of Ukrainian culture in its inseparable connection with the cultural heritage of other countries throughout world history. This approach makes it possible to define the essence of culture, the general patterns of its development, its role in the process of ethnic self-determination, the preservation of national unity, and the significance of the latter in today’s globalized world.
