Learning outcomes
PLO3. Identify, formulate and solve tasks in the field of social work, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical experience. PLO4. Formulate your own reasoned judgments based on the analysis of a social problem. PRN5. Theoretically justify ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances, choose effective methods for their resolution, anticipate consequences. PLO10. Analyse socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. PLO12. Determine the content of cooperation with partner organisations in social work to achieve professional tasks, including at the stage of early intervention. PLO18. Establish cooperation with representatives of various professional groups and communities, using strategies for individual and collective representation of clients' interests. PLO23. Construct the process and outcome of social work within the set tasks, use quantitative and qualitative indicators, adjust the work plan according to assessment results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know:
- approaches to the phenomenon of the family in the theory and practice of social work;
- classification of family types, its functions and stages of the life cycle, the main current problems of the family and the factors that cause family deformities;
- basic and derivative principles of social work with the family;
- tasks and content of the technology of social support of the family, structuring the social support process.
be able:
- to analyze modern family models and features of the Ukrainian family;
- to identify the types of families that need the help of a social worker;
- to analyze the needs of children and their families in the services of social work services;
- to have the skills to establish contact with families, skills in planning and monitoring change;
- to choose and application forms and methods of social work adequate to the problems and needs of the family within the framework of social support;
Course content
The family is important for the stability and development of society as a whole. Therefore, with the current changes, the structure of modern families is changing, which sometimes experience some difficulties in the hierarchical construction of new values or roles. Family members cannot always cope with the obstacles that arise in the process of starting a family. Under such conditions, she should have access to appropriate social assistance and support organized by social professionals.
The purpose - is to master the knowledge of the forms of manifestations, causes and ways to overcome the social ills of the family, the activities of a social work specialist to prevent it, mastering basic professional skills in working with families.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods: creative and reproductive tasks for individual work; preparation of reports, seminars and practical assignments; modular test work; final assessment in the form of an exam.
The form of final control is an exam.
The final grade for the discipline consists of 100 points: 60 points for the module and grades for the exam (40 points). A student cannot take the final test if he scored less than 36 points during the semester, and the grade for the exam cannot be less than 24 points.
Organization of assessment: the order of organization of the forms of assessment provided by the working curriculum is carried out during the semester during students' creative and reproductive tasks on independent work, preparation of reports, practical tasks, a compilation of modular tests at the end of the discipline and final exam tasks.
