PLO 6. To develop long-term and current plans, programs of activities, to make effective decisions in difficult situations promptly. PLO 8. To analyze and evaluate the current social policy of the country, socio-political processes at the national, regional and local levels critically.

Full-time form

Know: the object and subjects of social work; principles of social work; methods in social work; legislative framework of social work in Ukraine; fundamentals of legal regulation of organizational and legal forms of social protection of the population in Ukraine (compulsory state social insurance; social support funded from the State Budget); specific features of the socio-legal status of vulnerable population groups. Be able to: navigate the system of sources of social protection legislation of Ukraine and international legal regulation of social work. Possess: basic skills in analyzing, summarizing, and applying the norms of social protection legislation of Ukraine in practical activities.

Objective of the discipline: to form a system of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the application of social security legislation in the event of relevant social events. The forms and methods of teaching this discipline are aimed at equipping students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the formation and development of social security law as a branch of law, the specifics of legal regulation of social security relations in modern conditions. Within the framework of the discipline, the concept, subject, principles, functions, sources, method and system of social work, the status of subjects of social security legal relations, the content of social security legal relations are studied. Social cases are considered as grounds for the emergence, change and termination of legal relations in the field of social security. The general characterization of compulsory social insurance, social benefits and services in the field of social work is carried out.
