A higher education student must be familiar with: the issues addressed in social and educational research. A higher education student must be able to: conduct the empirical component of social and educational research. A higher education student must be proficient in the methodological framework of social and educational research.

The aim of the course is for students to acquire knowledge about the nature, types, and criteria for the effectiveness of scientific work, as well as the principles, methods, and techniques of social and educational research.

Constituent conference, advising the head of practice from the department on the stages of practice and the execution of relevant documentation. Maintaining contacts with managers from the practice base. Presentation and protection of the research proposal. Reporting on the state of development and implementation of an individual plan. Collection of empirical data. Preparation of a written report on practice. Public protection of practice results at the final conference.

Assessment of the head of the practice base (filling out the questionnaire on the student's internship) - 20 points. Assessment of the head from the department: compliance with the practice procedure and preparation for the report (preparation and protection of the Research proposal, timely access to the practice base, reporting on the collection of empirical material at the intermediate meeting) ‒ 40 points. Assessment of the head of the department: the quality of registration of the Individual report of the student on the practice ‒ 20 points. Protection of practice results at the final conference: the use of presentation and distribution materials for the report (media presentation, tables, figures, diagrams that reflect the results of the study and which are referenced during the report) ‒ 10 points. Protection of practice results at the final conference: compliance, clarity and completeness of answers to questions ‒ 10 points.
