Learning outcomes
The student must know the current state of the industry regarding the topic of the thesis; theoretical information on the topic of the thesis; methods and techniques used in the work.
The student must be able to conduct an analytical review of scientific and technical literature; perform research, engineering development; draw conclusions based on the results obtained.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The thesis is performed at the final stage of study after studying the entire complex of educational components of this educational program and is based on the results of their mastery. Of particular importance is the implementation of educational components related to the development of practical work skills - course project and scientific and industrial practice. The implementation of the individual educational trajectory of a higher education applicant is implemented by choosing a thesis topic related to the elective components selected by the applicant during the study process.
Course content
he master's thesis is a type of independent creative work of the applicant, performed by him at the final stage of study. The topic of the thesis corresponds to the current problems of the specialty "Telecommunications and Radio Engineering" and is oriented
to the goal of this educational and professional program, that is, to train a qualified engineer to perform information protection tasks. When performing the thesis, the development of radio engineering systems and their components can be carried out;
software designed to ensure the operation of telecommunications systems; research that ensures the development of the industry, etc.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The master's thesis is submitted in printed form, compiled in the state language. The thesis must have a clear structure, logical consistency, convincing
argumentation, demonstrability of conclusions and validity of recommendations. The conclusions in the form of a list of some provisions briefly state the most significant results obtained in the work. They must indicate the extent to which the task of the thesis has been solved, the practical and scientific value of its implementation. Proposals for further research can be provided.
Assessment methods and criteria
The basis of the procedure for defending a master's thesis is a report by a higher education applicant (report time up to 15 minutes), which is performed using illustrative materials, usually a computer presentation. After the report, the applicant is asked questions based on its materials, to which he must give clear reasoned answers, which is taken into account when forming the final grade. Then the response of the scientific supervisor and a review are heard. The department issues a preliminary assessment at its meeting and admits the work to defense by the Examination Commission. The department's assessment, together with the supervisor's and reviewer's assessments, can be taken into account by the Examination Commission, which issues a final grade. A point-rating system for assessing knowledge on a 100-point national scale is used to assess the master's thesis.
