Learning outcomes
The student must know the methodology of information and analytical activities; methods of collecting information, its classification and verification; features of organizing competitive intelligence at the enterprise; possibilities of the latest technologies for optimizing the work of the information and analytical unit. The student must be able to professionally organize work on information and analytical support of the enterprise's security; use methods of countering competitive intelligence to collect information; form an analytical strategy for enterprise security; using electrical circuits, classify radio electronic devices built on the basis of semiconductor devices, explain their purpose and principles of operation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational component "Information Security and Competitive Intelligence in Engineering" is included in the list of mandatory disciplines, is based on the program learning outcomes obtained during undergraduate studies, and from the educational components of this educational and professional program, is based on the study of the discipline "Theory of Information Transfer". Prerequisites: 1. Be able to launch and manage application software based on a graphical user interface, 2. Find information on the Internet. 3. Be able to process data in spreadsheets.
Course content
Studying the educational component "Information Security and Competitive Intelligence in Engineering" is part of the list of mandatory disciplines for a student. It provides professional development of the student in the field of technical information protection and includes consideration of the principles of organizing a system of information and analytical activities, managing and conducting engineering measures to ensure information security and counter competitive intelligence, which can be used in the development, implementation and operation of hardware for transmitting, processing and protecting information, in the creation of automated control systems, etc. Studying this educational component will allow the student to freely navigate in the field of competitive intelligence when organizing and managing the comprehensive provision of the functioning of the engineering and technical security system of enterprises.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment in the form of an exam. The form of the exam is a written paper (graded from 0 to 40 points). The condition for achieving a positive grade for the discipline is to obtain a total score (for the semester assessment and the exam together) of at least 60 points, while the score for the final assessment cannot be less than 24 points. Conditions for admission to the final assessment: the condition for admission to the exam is that students obtain a total of at least 36 points per semester.
