Course content
The multi-semester course English (Communicative Level B2+) is designed to develop students’ communicative, linguistic, and sociocultural competences, as well as to foster a positive attitude toward mastering both the English language and the culture of the English-speaking world. It aims to raise awareness of the functions of a foreign language in the educational process and in society. The course provides knowledge of the culture, history, realities, and traditions of English-speaking countries, while developing students’ ability to employ a range of learning strategies to meet their academic needs (e.g., working with textbooks, dictionaries, reference materials, and multimedia resources). It also promotes learners’ capacity for self-assessment and continuous self-improvement.
