Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses Psychology in Education, Pedagogy and Pedagogical Skills, and the course "Foreign Literature" in educational institutions and teaching methods. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of organising students’ educational and cognitive activities in secondary education.
Course content
Teaching Practice forms the ability to apply modern approaches, methods, principles, technologies, means of teaching Foreign Literature, solve problems related to the learning process, adapt to changes and accept the challenges of the modern educational environment in a mixed form of education. Students put into practice theoretical and practical knowledge of the methods of teaching Foreign Literature in secondary education institutions, get acquainted with the best Ukrainian experience of teaching literature; model, present in person and/or remotely and evaluate lessons in Foreign Literature, taking into account modern approaches, methods and techniques of teaching, as well as prepare and conduct in person or remotely an extracurricular event in Foreign Literature (group work).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study encompass an orientation conference, acquaintance with the regulatory and documentary support of the educational process, the work of a Foreign Literature lecturer, attendance at the lectures/seminars and other students in person and/or remotely, as well as students’ self-study. Forms of tuition include analysing the lectures/seminars of the lecturer and groupmates; delivering lectures/seminars and self-analysis; preparing a detailed seminar plan; delivering a credit lesson; a practice report; and a practice defence.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final mark for the course is formed by the points obtained by students in the process of writing a course paper and during the presentation and defence of research results. The final grade is formed by the points obtained by students during the practice and during the presentation of the practice report and its defence. A student can score a maximum of 12 / min 6 points for analysing the lessons of a lecturer and groupmates; a maximum of 36 / min 24 points for delivering lessons and self-analysis; a maximum of 10 / min 6 points for preparing a detailed lesson plan; a maximum of 10 / min 6 points for delivering a credit lesson; a maximum of 12 / min 6 points for conducting an extracurricular activity; a maximum of 10 / min 6 points for a practice report; a maximum of 10 / min 6 points for defending a practice. The form of final assessment is a differentiated credit.
