Course content
The educational component “Course Paper in the French Language” is a compulsory part of the curriculum and serves as a form of final assessment for the fourth semester of the Bachelor’s programme, in accordance with the curriculum of the Educational and Professional Programme “French Language and Translation, English Language and a Second Romance Language.” The course paper requires 60 hours of independent work (equivalent to 2 ECTS credits). It is an academic research project in which students must demonstrate their ability to work with scholarly sources in the target language, critically engage with them, and conduct independent research.
The research topic is selected within a defined field of linguistics related to the course paper, including areas such as morphology, syntax, and lexicology of the French language, taking into account the student’s academic interests. The course is aimed at developing students’ research and analytical skills.
