Learning outcomes
1.1 Know and understand the classification of biomaterials by purpose, composition and function.
1.2. Know the main methods of obtaining and studying nanoceramics for medical purposes
1.3. Know the methods of obtaining and studying oxide biomaterials.
2.1. Be able to conduct a literature search on the state of implementation and research of known biomaterials on scientific databases, conduct a critical analysis of the results obtained, present the results of their research.
2.2. Be able to use the acquired knowledge for calculations, independently select methods for the synthesis and study of calcium phosphate nanomaterials.
3.1. Ability to discuss the obtained data with the teacher and colleagues
4.1. Be able to independently work with scientific and educational literature, search for and summarize information.

1. Know inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, methods of characterizing chemical compounds and materials.
2. Knowledge of English at level B2
Course content
academic discipline of improving the formation of a cellular system of knowledge regarding methods of obtaining and characterizing inorganic biomaterials, ways of influencing their functional properties by modifying the initial structure with microelements and developing their hybrid composites with other components; familiarization with the basic principles and practical aspects of the synthesis of nanobioceramics and bioglasses; research and use of effects based on inorganic materials.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes two module tests (remotely), evaluation of literature search and laboratory reports. Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. Final assessment in the form of an exam. The maximum/minimum number of points that a student can receive during the semester assessment is 100 points/60 points.
