Learning outcomes
Analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, determine functional areas, calculate relevant indicators that characterize the effectiveness of their activities.
Identify sources and understand the methodology for determining and methods for obtaining socio-economic data, collect and analyze the necessary information, calculate economic and social indicators.
Apply acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and interpret the results obtained in a meaningful way.
Demonstrate independent work skills, critical, creative, and self-critical thinking.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: basic theoretical principles of finance, marketing, microeconomics, international economics, and international finance.
Possess: skills in collecting, processing, and analyzing financial and economic information; preparing and delivering public speeches and presentations.
Course content
The theoretical content of the discipline is determined by the focus on students acquiring knowledge about the content of project financing as a special area of activity for international corporations; conducting an in-depth analysis of the effectiveness and financial stability of investment projects, taking into account the impact of significant risks throughout the project life cycle; justifying sources of project financing; using basic methods and financial instruments for managing project risks. The course is focused on the active use of computers in the learning process. During laboratory classes and training, students acquire skills in developing a financial plan and financial model for an investment project; conducting a comparative analysis of alternative investment decisions; and forming a capital investment budget.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Semester assessment of such types of work as participation in discussions of practical tasks, testing, case studies, and tests is carried out during classes, which take place according to the schedule. The results of case studies, problem solving, and situational exercises are assessed by the teacher during practical classes in computer labs.
Assessment methods and criteria
1. Completion of case studies (No. 1, No. 2) using a PC: 35 points / 25 points,
in particular: Case study No. 1 (RH1, 2.1-2.3, 3,4): 20 points / 15 points
Case study No1 (RH1, 2.1- 2.2, 3, 4): 15 points / 10 points
2. Testing (RH1, 2.1, 2.3): 20 points / 10 points.
3. Problem solving (PH1, 2.2, 2.3): 10 points / 5 points.
4. Discussion of situational exercises, calculation tasks, practical work performed) – (PH 1, 3, 4): 15 points / 8 points.
5. Final test (RN 1; 2.1-2.3; 4) – 20 points / 12 points.
The final assessment is in the form of a written test, which is graded out of a maximum of 20 points and is conducted during one of the last classes of the course. The final grade for the course is given to the student based on the results of their work throughout the semester, including the points received for the final test.
