Learning outcomes
P02. Know and understand the main types of geographical activity, their division in general and in particular in the field of transboundary ecological cooperation. P03. Explain the features of the organization of geographical space depending on its physical and geographical features, features of the landscape structure. P04. Analyze the geographical potential of the territory taking into account its landscape structure. P09. Analyze the composition and structure of natural and sociospheres that are within the scope of interests of transboundary, regional and local projects at different spatial and temporal scales in order to ensure successful ecological cooperation. P010. Know the goals of sustainable development and the possibilities of their professional sphere for their achievement, including in Ukraine during the implementation of programs and projects of transboundary ecological cooperation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
– successful mastery of the disciplines "Protected Areas" and "Landscape Studies"; – be able to provide a comprehensive physical and geographical description of the territory, carry out the selection and critical analysis of information and cartographic sources of data.
Course content
an integral discipline that prepares future specialists for specific, practically-oriented activities in the field of protected areas management, the development of a national ecological network and its integration into the All-European one. These tasks are extremely relevant for our state in view of its desire to join the European community, which requires thorough training of specialists in various fields, including the environmental protection sphere. Therefore, this discipline is oriented towards international standards and approaches in the field of nature reserve activities, which is reflected in the thematic structure of lectures and practical classes. The discipline considers the theoretical and methodological principles of protected areas management in Ukraine and the world, the main directions and problems of development of this direction of environmental protection.
