Be able to identify, pose and solve scientific and applied problems, critically assess the decisions made, in particular, in the context of the transboundary level of nature conservation (PL 5) 2. Participate in the development of programs and strategies for transboundary nature conservation, urban and regional development, planning of territories of various hierarchical levels (PL 7) 3. Assess possible risks, socio-economic and geo-ecological consequences of the implementation of management decisions in the field of nature management, nature conservation, urban and regional development, recreation and tourism (PL 11) 4. Plan and carry out theoretical and applied research, draw substantiated conclusions, analyze and present the results of research, in particular, in relation to transboundary nature conservation cooperation (PL 12) 5. Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Geography of Transboundary Environmental Cooperation of Ukraine", "Geoecological Principles of Sustainable Development and Management of Nature Use", "Transboundary Environmental Monitoring", "Fundamentals of International Environmental Law", etc. 2.2. Know the essence of the environmental problems of humanity, including global ones; understand the main ideological concepts of world development; the consequences of environmental problems, including for Ukraine, and systemic approaches to their mitigation, taking into account the role of the main population groups. 2.3. Be able to distinguish the values ​​of civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, identify the nature of anthropogenic pressure in the "man - society - nature" system, analyze the information obtained from a review of international ecological and transboundary environmental cooperation.
Course content
The course is devoted to an overview of the problem of waste as such, theoretical, methodological and methodological principles of waste management, geographical patterns of their distribution and impact on the environment and humans, identification of environmental changes caused by violations of waste management norms and rules that affect the environment and the health of the population, study of modern technologies for mitigating such changes, consideration of the relationships between non-governmental and governmental organizations, institutions in the field of international environmental cooperation; principles and methods of planning human economic activity are established and explained, in particular, in the context of its impact on the environment and ways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 (SDG-30).
