Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Geography of Transboundary Environmental Cooperation of Ukraine", "Geoecological Principles of Sustainable Development and Environmental Management", "Dangerous Natural and Anthropogenic Processes and Environmental Engineering", etc.
2.2. Know the essence of global environmental problems of humanity; understand the main ideological concepts of world development; the consequences of environmental problems, including for Ukraine, and systemic approaches to their mitigation, taking into account the role of the main population groups.
2.3. Be able to distinguish the values of a civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, identify the nature of anthropogenic pressure in the "man - society - nature" system, analyze the information obtained with regard to international ecological and transboundary environmental cooperation.
Course content
The academic discipline is devoted to an overview of the Earth's climates, the geographical patterns of their distribution, the identification of changes in climatic elements that affect the environment and the health of the population, the study of modern technologies for mitigating such changes, the consideration of the relationships between non-governmental and governmental organizations, institutions in the field of international environmental cooperation, and the establishment and explanation of the principles and methods of planning human economic activities, in particular, in the context of its impact on the environment and ways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 (SDG-30).
