Course content
This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of priority tasks of the applied block of geoecology, primarily the prevention of the possibility of crisis and emergency geoecological situations, as well as the optimization of nature use - activities related either to the direct use of nature and its resources, or to actions that change this nature. In the process of planning safe nature use, it is important to substantiate the geoecological limitations of the technogenic impact on the environment as a whole and its components in time and space. The discipline "Applied Geoecology for Landscape and Biodiversity Protection" is aimed at deepening theoretical geoecological knowledge, practical skills and abilities, forming special professional, social and personal competencies in students, accumulating knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve geoecological problems in the field of nature management for the purposes of landscape and biodiversity protection. Separate components of the discipline are the study of ways and methods to identify and predict the main geoecological risks of various branches of nature management; ways to manage environmental processes in geoecosystems; geoecological consequences of the impact of irrational nature management on landscapes and biodiversity, depletion and degradation of natural resources; geoecological principles of substantiation of nature management projects and the role of applied geoecology and environmental protection specialists in it. The functional block of the discipline provides for mastering such components as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and information technologies in various areas of nature management, the ability to apply quantitative and
