Know: Parameters of conditions for mineral raw materials and methods of their justification; methods of calculating mineral reserves; Indicators and methods of valuing mineral resources and reserves.
Be able to: Determine the production capacity of mining enterprises. Assess capital investments and production costs in the development of mineral deposits

Course content
The course introduces modern methods and tools for geological and economic assessment of subsoil areas at various stages of geological and technical and economic study, as well as methods for valuing mineral deposits. The features of geological and economic assessment for various geological and industrial types of mineral deposits are also considered.

Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' academic activities are assessed on a 100-point scale.
The final grade is given based on the results of the student's work during the fifth and sixth semesters and the final assessment in the form of an exam, as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the semesters.
The discipline provides for the preparation and defense of a course work. The topics of course works are determined by the student in agreement with the supervisor and approved by the department. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a written and oral exam.
