Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the key provisions of the theoretical foundations of the disciplines of the physical and geographical cycle, taught during the 1st-3rd semesters (general geology, geomorphology, soil science, hydrology, meteorology, biogeography, general ecology, etc.) 2. Be able to apply the principles, approaches and methods of research into the landscape organization of territories and space; 3. Possess the methods of geographical analysis and synthesis, basic knowledge of landscape mapping, methods of statistical and mathematical analysis; 4. Possess the tools for searching for landscape information and data in various information sources
Course content
The range of theoretical and applied problems of modern landscape science is highlighted, as well as the content and approaches of its individual areas - scientific (geophysics, geochemistry, landscape, historical, cultural landscape science, the study of anthropogenic changes in landscapes, landscape classification, etc.) and applied (landscape science justification of spatial planning, land reclamation landscape science, landscape radioecology, justification of the restoration of post-war landscapes, etc.). The features of the state, structure, dynamics and evolution of natural and anthropogenically changed landscape complexes that have formed on the earth's surface, their main properties, processes occurring in them, etc., as well as methods and techniques of modern landscape science research are considered.
