Course content
This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of general geoecological problems on the European continent in general and in Ukraine in particular, primarily the causes of their occurrence, regional features of their spread, principles and modern methods used to solve them, as well as the formation of skills and abilities to solve basic geoecological problems. The discipline is aimed at forming in students special professional, social and personal competencies, the accumulation of knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to determine, formulate and solve problems in the field of geoecology. Separate components of the discipline are the study of geoecological problems in individual geocomponents (atmospheric, aquatic and other environments); anthropogenic factors that play the greatest role in their occurrence; principles of rational use and protection of landscape components from the influence of adverse environmental factors; methods of conducting research on geosystems; methods of rational use of natural resources for the purposes of sustainable development.
