Learning outcomes
PRN01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of Earth sciences, geoecology, marketing and restoration of ecosystem services. PRN05. Be able to conduct field and laboratory geoecological research. + PRN07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, geoecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying the natural processes of formation and development of geospheres. PRN08. Justify the choice and use field and laboratory methods for the analysis of natural and anthropogenic systems and objects. PRN09. Be able to conduct research on geospheres using quantitative methods of analysis. PRN10. Analyze the composition and structure of geospheres at different spatial and temporal scales. PRN11. Organize and summarize materials from field and laboratory geoecological research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
As a result of studying the discipline, students should know: - the general theory of topography and geodesy, methods of topographic and geodetic survey; - regulatory requirements for building a survey network and performing topographic surveys of the terrain; - the structure of geodetic instruments; - the methodology for conducting angular, linear and height measurements of technical accuracy; - the basics of the theory of mathematical processing of geodetic measurements; - be able to: - understand topographic maps and use them in scientific research, practical and educational activities; - solve problems on topographic plans and maps; - perform verification and adjustment of geodetic instruments of technical accuracy; - perform angular, linear and height measurements; - create survey networks;
Course content
The study of the discipline provides information about topographic maps as a way of depicting the Earth's surface, which is characterized by a high degree of completeness of content, reliability and accuracy. During the study of the discipline, students become familiar with the methods of creating topographic maps and their application for the needs of science and practice. The knowledge gained is the basis for working with maps of various types and types, as well as a basis for familiarization with cartographic and aerospace methods of studying the Earth's surface, the features of various cartographic works, which are considered in further training. The discipline considers the methodology for performing angular and linear measurements in theodolite courses, leveling and calculating coordinates and heights of points, performing topographic surveys and compiling a large-scale topographic plan of the area. The acquired skills contribute to the successful completion of educational and industrial practices by students.
