P03. Explain the peculiarities of the organization of geographical space depending on its physical and geographical features, landscape structure features P07. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the landscape envelope and its components P013. Understand the main concepts, theoretical and practical problems in the field of natural sciences that are necessary for the analysis and adoption of transboundary and local decisions in the field of ecology, environmental protection and optimal nature use.

To successfully master knowledge in the discipline "Natural Environment of Ukraine", students must: have basic knowledge of courses in general geology, meteorology and climatology, the basics of soil science and soil geography, biogeography, hydrology, etc.; be able to analyze cause-and-effect relationships between processes and phenomena that lead to the formation of various natural territorial complexes in the regions of Ukraine; possess modern methods of searching and systematizing scientific documents and primary processing of geographical information; elementary skills in analyzing and synthesizing geographical information, comparative geographical analysis.

The academic discipline "Natural Environment of Ukraine" is a component of the educational and professional program "Transborder Ecological Cooperation" for training specialists at the educational and qualification level "bachelor" in the field of knowledge "Natural Sciences" in the specialty 106 "Geography". The discipline "Natural Environment of Ukraine" is a normative (mandatory) discipline and, according to the curriculum, the VII semester (fourth year) in the amount of 5 ECTS credits. In terms of content, the discipline "Natural Environment of Ukraine" includes an overview of the general features of the nature of the territory of Ukraine by components and more detailed characteristics of regional physical and geographical units - countries, zones, regions. When studying the discipline "Natural Environment of Ukraine", attention is also paid to the formation of important general and professional competencies of a bachelor of geography - skills and abilities to plan and conduct research and report on their results, to act professionally and tolerantly in various natural, socio-economic and ethno-cultural conditions.
