Learning outcomes
Knowledge: physical and geological fundamentals of electrometric research; structure of equipment and methods of measuring electric and electromagnetic fields; the theory of electrometric research methods; methods for conducting field experimental research; forms of information representation and methods for interpreting experimental data obtained using modern electrometric methods based on direct and alternating currents. Choose methods for interpreting the results of experimental research and perform their interpretation, depict the results of interpretation, give them a geological interpretation, draw conclusions and make recommendations. Be able to organize collective work for the effective solution of the task at hand.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of field theory. 2. Proficiency in working with a personal computer.
Course content
Analysis of electric and electromagnetic fields in direct and alternating current, as well as computer principles of processing and interpreting observed data. Approaches to solving direct and inverse problems in electrometry are considered. Techniques for qualitative and quantitative interpretation are studied and explained using real-life examples. The areas of application of electrometry are characterized and the historical development of the method is described. Geological foundations of electrometric methods, basic principles of modern methods of processing and interpreting electrometric research data.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory and practical classes, independent work by students.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out using a modular rating system and includes: completion of laboratory, practical, and independent work. Assessment in the 7th semester involves interim assessment, which is based on the student's performance throughout the semester, as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the 7th semester, and 4 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written exam.
