Prerequisites and co-requisites
Possess skills in characterization of genetic and industrial types of deposits, knowledge of geology of Ukraine and the world, understanding theoretical foundations of deposit formation.
Course content
Characteristics of gold deposits in greenstone belts, Early Precambrian paleo-sedimentary basins, Phanerozoic fold belts, tectono-magmatic active zones and platforms; evolution of gold mineralization; controlling factors and prospecting criteria; gold deposits of Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
– Test on Precambrian gold metallogeny – 20 points – Test on Phanerozoic gold metallogeny – 20 points – Practical classes – 40 points – Final credit – 20 points Evaluation on a 100-point scale (minimum 60 – passed).
