Course content
Industrial practice, according to the curriculum, is carried out after the third year of theoretical training. To undergo industrial practice, students are sent to various geodetic, land management and other specialized production or research organizations and their divisions. Places for industrial practice are selected during the academic year on the basis of official requests to the management of production, research and design organizations, personal contacts with heads of enterprises, letters of guarantee with a request to send specific students to practice, etc. Students are allowed to undergo internships in research laboratories or at departments of the faculty to participate in the implementation of research or economic and contractual work programs. Industrial practice has as its main task the consolidation and application in practice of theoretical knowledge obtained at the university, based on familiarizing students with the structure and features of the work of the enterprise, institution or organization in which students undergo internship, as well as mastering practical skills and methods of professional activity. The purpose of the internship is to consolidate and deepen the theoretical knowledge obtained and acquire practical skills for making independent decisions and professionally performing work in the chosen specialty. It is an integral part of the educational process and an important form of effective training of highly qualified specialists.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
When developing a schedule for completing production practice, at least 50% of the time should be allocated for practice in those divisions of the enterprise that are directly related to the implementation of production tasks and 15% for the implementation of individual tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
After the end of the internship, students report on the implementation of the program and individual assignment. The form of the student's reporting on the completion of the internship is a written report. The written report, together with other documents (diary, characteristics, lesson plans, methodological developments, etc.) is submitted for review to the internship supervisor from the department. The report must contain information on the student's implementation of all sections of the internship program and individual assignment, sections on labor protection and safety, conclusions and suggestions, a list of used literature, etc. A report is drawn up according to the requirements established by the internship program. The internship report is defended by students in a commission appointed by the head of the department, consisting of internship supervisors from the department.
