Prerequisites and co-requisites
The academic discipline "Phototopography" is based on a cycle of disciplines of theoretical and professional training, in particular: ✓ students must have basic training in higher mathematics, physics and computer graphics; ✓ have knowledge of professional training in topography, geodesy, cartography, digital photogrammetry; ✓ be confident PC users.
Course content
The discipline is a special course in the structural and logical scheme of educational and professional training of specialists "Geodesy and Land Management", the educational program "Geodesy and Land Management" and is intended to provide basic competencies in building a photogrammetric model of the terrain from photographs obtained as a result of aerial (including UAV), space and ground photography; the features of its metric processing; mastering software and hardware and technologies for compiling topographic, cadastral plans and maps; building digital surface models (DSM), digital relief models (DTM) and producing orthophotomaps. The course teaches the basic principles of the theory and practice of compiling topographic maps, cadastral plans based on aerospace photographs of the terrain. The main processes of mastering the discipline are based on the study of the following sections: - aerial topography - compiling topographic maps and cadastral plans based on the results of aerial photography; - orthophototransformation - construction of DMP/DMR and production of orthophotomaps; - basics of terrestrial photography - a brief overview of the principles of performing terrestrial (phototheodolite) terrain surveying. The subject of study of the academic discipline is the techniques and methods of creating topographic maps and cadastral plans based on the results of processing aerospace photography.

Assessment methods and criteria
The condition for obtaining a minimum positive final grade in the discipline is to achieve at least 60% - 36 points from the maximum possible number of points. At the same time, the grade according to the learning results provided for in points 1 - to know and 2 - to be able to cannot be less than 45% of the maximum possible level (at least 20 and 16 points, respectively). Students who have not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment during the semester (60% of the maximum possible number of points - 36 points) are not allowed to take the exam. The discipline ends with an exam. Final assessment (exam): the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the recommended result (the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones) is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated to the exam).
