            1) successful mastering of professional knowledge (Masters degree);
2) knowledge of the general requirements for writing, preparing and defense of
qualification works of the appropriate level;
3) skills of independent academic research in classical languages; selection and
critical analysis of theoretical materials; skills and abilities of translation from classical
languages, analysis and interpretation of literary texts.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The purpose of writing and defending the Masters qualification work is to confirm the
compliance of the level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of
the educational and qualification characteristics of the major. Annotation. Masters
qualification paper is a complex form of control and final certification of Master graduates
in the educational and academic program Classical Studies and Western European
Language. This is an independent academic paper of theoretical and practical value, which
is performed by students at the final stage of training and is one of the forms of
demonstration of theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to perform public
academic communications. Writing a qualification paper involves academic research,
collection, systematization and independent analysis of linguistic phenomena with further
results. Masters qualification paper should meet the requirements as to the form and
content the supervisors feedback and review should be submitted.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The written qualification paper is submitted to the attestation commission along with
other documents required: the supervisors review and feedback. Public defense of the
qualification paper is organized as presentation with different forms of visualization of the
information.
The grade for Masters qualification paper consists of three components:
1) assessment of the supervisor, who fills in the supervisors feedback form according
to the evaluation criteria (up to 10 points max.);
2) assessment of the reviewer who fills in the review form (according to the
evaluation criteria (up to 45 points max.);
3) points for the defense of the qualification paper (up to 45 points max.), which are
assigned by the attestation commission and recorded in the final evaluation sheet, which
also contains the total score as an arithmetic whole of the three components (up to 100
points max.).
