            To successfully complete the course, students must first master the following courses: "Chinese language: advanced level", "Chinese language stylistics", "Translation practice"; to know the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, the basic lexical and grammatical foundations of the Wenyan language; to know the methodology of linguistic analysis; to be able to formulate and express thoughts in Chinese and Ukrainian according to communicative intent.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The goal of the discipline: in-depth familiarization of students with the lexical, grammatical and stylistic features of Chinese political and diplomatic discourse; features of the communicative intentions of the relevant discourses and the means of their implementation. The course examines the basic principles of diplomatic etiquette and political suggestion.Abstract. The course "Chinese-language Political and Diplomatic Discourse" is aimed at forming a system of knowledge and skills of Chinese-language communication within the framework of political and diplomatic activity in students. The course includes 2 content modules. Module 1 is aimed at in-depth familiarization of students with Chinese political discourse, their practical mastery of the most frequent principles of its implementation in an official business style. Module 2 is aimed at forming students a clear and systematic understanding of the peculiarities of diplomatic discourse in general and Chinese in particular. The specifics of diplomatic protocol measures and the corresponding rules of etiquette are considered. The discipline ends with a test.

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            The course provides for the following forms of training organization: practical classes and unsupervised work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classwork (oral answers and written works), individual project (presentation), modular control work. A student can score a maximum of 100 points and a minimum of 60 points for performing the prescribed types of work. In detail, the criteria for evaluating the types of works during the semester are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The overall assessment consists of points received for the work during the semester (maximum – 100 points, minimum – 60 points) and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored less than 60 points in total for the semester must prepare material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing unsupervised works, essays, or, if necessary, write a control paper based on the results of the study: LR 1.1-1.3, 2.1 -2.2, 3.1. The evaluation criteria are presented in detail in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
