Communicative and translation practice with a gap (French language) is a complex process that is an integral part of the training of specialists under the educational program for future professional activity, and is designed to ensure that students acquire professional translation skills to work as a translator in a foreign language. Communicative and translation practice contributes to the development of professional self-awareness, communication culture, the formation of theoretical, practical and personal and motivational components of students' professional competence. In addition, during its passage, students continue to form translation skills and their own creative translation style. The purpose of communicative and translation practice is to form in students, based on the theoretical knowledge acquired at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology, practical skills and skills of written and oral translation in real socio-economic conditions, as well as the students' mastery of social competencies.

The internship is carried out in the form of practical work on the basis of practice. The main types of work are: participation in an orientation conference on practice, development of an individual schedule of work on translations, development of a work plan, communication with the practice manager, the head of the institution, translation of texts from the practice institutions, preparation of reporting documentation, defense of reporting documentation, participation in discussing the results of the internship. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.

Final assessment: differentiated credit. Credit is awarded based on the results of the student's work: active practice, preparation of reporting documentation, defense of reporting documentation, and does not provide for additional assessment measures.
