Learning outcomes
PLO12 Analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize language phenomena and processes that determine them. PLO17 Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or education. PLO21. Use Chinese in oral and written form, in everyday, social, educational spheres of life at a basic level.

Mastering the basic Chinese language course in 5-7 semesters.
Course content
The discipline provides for a multi-faceted study of the educational material taken for processing. To this end, the educational discipline contains the following components: phonetics and hieroglyphics: study of the phonetic and hieroglyphic systems of the Chinese language and their basic principles; listening; reading (aloud) basic dialogues with their subsequent lexical and grammatical; mastering hieroglyphic characters that are related to the material taken for consideration; writing works on the proposed topic and training in oral speech.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes are planned, including lexical dictations, written work, listening, oral questioning, modular tests, as well as independent work. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in total: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. The discipline ends with an exam, which is evaluated with a maximum of 40 points. Assessment criteria are presented in the discipline's work program, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
