Successful mastery of the basics of Arabic grammatical terminology.

The aim of the course is to teach students the basics of the Arabic language, specifically how to correctly pronounce Arabic sounds and their combinations, speak, listen, and understand, as well as read and write in Arabic.

Practical lessons.

The assessment consists of theoretical training (40%) and practical skills (60%). VII semester (Exam): Cumulative system, maximum — 100 points. A minimum of 60 points is required for "passed". VIII semester (Exam): Semester work (max. 60 points) + exam (max. 40 points). Admission to the exam — 36 points. The minimum score for the exam for successful completion is 24. Types of work and criteria (5-point scale) Lexical dictations: assess listening, writing and translation. Oral answers: check pronunciation, reading and fluency in vocabulary. Written tasks: control of spelling, grammar and syntax. Grading scale: 5 points: full mastery of the material, no errors. 4 points: sufficient level, 2–4 minor errors. 3 points: knowledge without depth, significant errors. 1–2 points: fragmentary knowledge, many gross errors. Exam (VIII semester): conducted in written and oral form. Includes grammar (15 points), conversational topic (15 points) and translation of an unfamiliar text (10 points).
