Learning outcomes
PLO1. To communicate fluently on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing, to use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO10. To know the norms of literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO11. To know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and Modern Greek and English languages. PLO14. To use the Modern Greek and English languages in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Have a good knowledge of Modern Greek at the А2+-В1 level of competence, have mastered the previous parts of the complex discipline, the discipline "Introduction to Translation Studies"
Course content
The discipline "Translation Practice from the First Language (Modern Greek)" consists of two content modules. The first, "Translation of Humanitarian Texts," focuses on the practical examination of the specifics of written Greek-Ukrainian communication in scientific and humanitarian discourses, the main theme of which is the historical development of society. The second, "Translation of Natural Science Texts about the World," covers the translation of texts in the field of biology.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study include practical classes, consultations, and independent work. Teaching methods include responses to practical exercises, preparation of translation analyses, and tests.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, control papers, tests) and for independent work (preparation of reports, presentations, etc.). All types of work for the semester have the following sum: in the maximum dimension - 100 points, in the minimum dimension - 60 points.
Final assessment: credit.
