Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the socio-political process;
2. Be able to collect and interpret information on political phenomena and events, socio-political processes and events;
3. Have basic skills in scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The academic discipline "Social and Political Studies" is a part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of study of the academic discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, the interaction of man with social and political institutions, and the special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to a system that provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1-1.2), which is 40% of the total assessment and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.4); (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total assessment.
The final grade for the discipline consists of the points scored by the student based on the results of semester control for the first and second parts and the points of final control works for both parts.
The credit is issued based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures.
