Learning outcomes
PLO 8. Know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, the history of English and two Western European languages ​​and literatures being studied, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 10. Know the norms of literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and English languages ​​and two Western European languages. PLO 12. Analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize the linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successfully master the course "Частина 6 Практичний курс англійської* мови (6-й семестр) // Part 6.1. General English. Part 6.2. Conversation ”; speak English at C1 + level; know the basic linguistic, lexicological, grammatical and stylistic concepts; features of the English vocabulary; be able to apply linguistic tools in practice and have basic skills of analysis and interpretation of syntactic, stylistic and synthesis of lexical and grammatical elements of the English language.
Course content
The course involves acquainting students with modern approaches to the study of creative writing techniques, their specifics, structure and elements; equipping students with writing tools for both comprehension of written speech and the natural generation of written speech through interactive tasks, games and exercises to understand / recognize / produce the necessary elements of genres and styles of writing.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Form of study: practical classes. Teaching methods and educational activities: - oral answers - essay - tests - creative and research tasks - individual work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course ends with an exam. Students’ performance during the term is the sum of the points accumulated for task-game, creative task, written task, final composition. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. The minimum score for the exam is 24 and the maximum score is 40.
