PLO 8 Know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, the history of the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 12 Analyze language units, determine their interaction, and characterize the linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them. PLO 15 Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 17 Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and education. PLO 19 Have the skills to participate in scientific and applied research in the field of philology.

Full-time form

Successful completion of the courses: "Introduction to Linguistics", "Complex Discipline. History of the Ukrainian Language and Dialectology", "Old Church Slavonic Language", "Modern Ukrainian Language", "Latin Language", "Introduction to University Studies".

The course "Linguistic Terminology" systematizes students' knowledge of the term in the system of linguistic concepts, analyzes the functions of terms in different functional styles, explains the processes of terminologization and determinologization, which are associated with the linguistic consciousness of Ukrainians. The stylistic functions of terms in various communications - scientific and educational, media, artistic, etc., systemic and asystemic characteristics of modern terminology, analyzes the term in different genres of scientific, mass media, official-business, colloquial and artistic functional styles.
