Course content
The discipline "Geoinformation Systems (GIS) in Natural Sciences" is a course that teaches to use modern digital technologies for collecting, analyzing, processing and visualizing spatial (geographical) data in nature, environment and resources. The purpose of the course is to form students' knowledge and practical skills in working with geoinformation systems as a tool for analyzing natural processes and phenomena. GIS is a key tool for modern geographers, ecologists, geologists, biologists, meteorologists, land managers, cartographers, agrarians, etc.
