            Course content

The content of the discipline reveals the main provisions of soil science, as a science that studies the origin, structure, composition, properties and dynamics of soils as natural-historical formations, which, in addition, are objects of work and means of production.
Within the scope of the discipline, the essence of the concept of "soil" and modern approaches to its interpretation, the genesis of soils and the influence of soil-forming factors on their formation, the phase composition of the soil, the main physical, physico-chemical and morphological properties of soils, the patterns of distribution and the basic laws of the geography of soils of Ukraine and of the world, principles of soil classification, basics of rational use, monitoring and protection of soil and land resources.
