            1. Know the key provisions of informatics, cartography and general geographic disciplines. 
2. To be able to apply mathematical methods in geography.

            Course content
        
        
            Concepts of spatial analysis as the basis of modern geography and geo-informational data structures and their models are considered. Approaches to input, storage, selection, editing and output of geographically coordinated data, manipulation of these data and their spatial analysis are presented.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Survey in test and written form, MKR, credit. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the credit.
The final evaluation in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points for credit is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to semester credits is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for credit).
