PR01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences. PR05. Be able to conduct field and laboratory research. PR07. 1. Successful completion of Mathematics courses"; "Physics", "Hydrology of rivers", "Hydrology of lakes", "Hydrology of swamps, glaciers and groundwater", "Meteorology", "Geology", "Pedology", "Topography with the basics of geodesy" , "Cartography". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of hydrology; meteorology, geology, earth sciences, topography, cartography, mathematics, methods of processing and analysis of hydrological information. 3. To have elementary skills of collection, processing of observation data, statistical analysis of hydrological series and hydrological calculations. processing and analysis of cartographic information.

The purpose of the discipline is for students to acquire theoretical principles and practical knowledge, skills and abilities regarding the principles of organizing observations and research on water bodies, familiarization with hydrometric devices used in hydrometric work, consideration of methods of processing the results of observations, quantitative calculation and accounting of various elements water and hydrological regime of rivers and other water bodies.

Lectures, practical, independent work

During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. Evaluation is carried out throughout the semester for all types of work, including independent work.
