The academic discipline "Philosophy" provides an opportunity to involve students in the worldview and methodological culture accumulated by humanity throughout the history of its existence, to show the holistic, integrative nature of knowledge about the world around us, to emphasize the fundamental importance for each person of his free worldview self-determination, the choice of an active life position, the creation of good by strengthening the state and society through his own activities. Philosophy for future specialists in urbanism and urban planning is a worldview and at the same time a methodological basis, on the basis of which the assimilation of humanitarian, general educational, fundamental and applied disciplines takes place. To a large extent, it is thanks to it that it becomes possible for students' consciousness to go beyond the limits of narrowly professional training, to focus on universal human values.
