PRN 1. Know the main historical stages of the development of the subject area. Collect, process and analyze information in the fields of geography, other natural sciences and humanities PRN 17. To form in students the ability to use geographical and cartographic language in the educational process, to apply algorithms for using printed and digital cartographic products. PRN 27. Apply methods of teaching natural science, methods of systematizing knowledge about nature, extracurricular forms of organizing natural science teaching, and means of teaching natural science. PRN 31. Use methods and data of natural/social sciences, information technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in the fields of the subject area of geographical sciences and carry out research of the geographical envelope

Successful completion of the courses: Geographic Cartography, Training Practice in Methods of Obtaining Geographic Information, Training Practice in Methods of Processing Geographic Information, Training Practice in Methods of Dissemination of Geographic Information, Mathematical and Statistical Methods in Geography, Geographic Modeling, etc.

Studying the academic discipline allows students to master the knowledge and skills of analysis, modeling, optimization, generalization and dissemination of information using modern information technologies. Partial educational goals of the discipline are to provide in-depth knowledge of the concept of formalized representation of geoobjects and phenomena using GIS.
