PR02. Apply modern information technologies, software and Internet resources for information support of professional activities. PR08. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the academic disciplines "Biochemistry", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Human and Animal Physiology and Anatomy", "Immunology", "Virusology", "General Genetics", "Molecular Biology", "Biotechnology". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology and other academic disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work. 3. Possession of skills in working with scientific and scientific-methodological literature.
Course content
The academic discipline "Genetic Engineering" studies the possibilities of applying methods of genetic engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc. to obtain transgenic organisms (microorganisms, animals and plants) with new useful traits, as well as the use of their waste products: enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, antibiotics, secondary metabolites, etc.
