Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "Biochemistry", "Cytology", "Histology", "Anatomy and physiology of man and animals". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of cytology, biochemistry, histology, physiology and anatomy, etc. disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have the skills to take notes, systematize and assimilate information.
Course content
The discipline "Hepatology" is a basic physiological discipline, the features of the anatomical and histological structure and functioning of the liver and the patterns of metabolic processes in it and the regulation of the functions of the hepatobiliary system in accordance with species specificity, as well as with pathological changes in the human and animal body. During the course of studying the course, the mechanisms of functioning and regulation of the functions of the organs of the hepatobiliary system in accordance with species specificity and with pathology are considered, the importance of the liver and hepatobiliary system in maintaining the dynamic constancy of the internal environment in the human and animal body in normal and pathological conditions. Knowledge gained from the discipline "Hepatology" can be applied both in research in physiological sciences (circulatory physiology, fundamentals of pathological physiology, ontogenesis physiology, regional circulatory physiology, physiology of nutrition and digestion, etc.), and in other sciences (pharmacology, biochemistry, etc.).
