Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of disciplines "Cytology", "Histology", "Biology of individual development", "Molecular biology", "Biochemistry", "Genetics". "Human and animal physiology", "Immunology". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of cytology, histology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The discipline covers the main processes of cytology and biochemistry of blood. An important place is given to the basic ideas about: hematopoiesis and the problem of artificial blood; structural features of hemoglobin; reactions in the blood with the participation of bioorganic molecules; plasma and serum; vascular-platelet (microcirculatory) hemostasis; coagulation hemostasis; anticoagulant and fibrinolytic systems; interdependence of blood coagulation, anticoagulation and fibrinolysis systems; renin-angiotensin system; hydrodynamics and regulation of blood circulation; pathological blood conditions. The course shows the possibilities of applying knowledge about the properties of blood and its components to solve practical problems of biology and medicine.
