The course is devoted to the basic mechanisms of biological processes at the molecular level. The principles of structural organization of proteins, nucleic acids and macromolecular complexes are considered; structural organization of the hereditary apparatus of the cell; molecular mechanisms of transcription, RNA processing, protein biosynthesis, replication, repair and recombination of DNA; mechanisms of regulation of biomolecular processes; principles of molecular biology methods.
