Course content
The discipline "Physiology and Anatomy of Humans and Animals" is a basic biological discipline that reveals the general patterns of structural and functional organization of physiological systems of the human and animal body as a single whole.
Modern physiology and anatomy of humans and animals explains this unity of the organism through the interaction of cells, tissues, organs and systems through the mechanisms of functional connections between them, which were formed during evolution as the physiological basis for maintaining life (homeostasis) under different conditions of existence. This subject focuses special attention on revealing the principles of the unity of the structure and function of individual organs and systems, revealing the subtle mechanisms of neurohumoral regulation of physiological functions. Physiology and Anatomy of Humans and Animals is a discipline that forms the understanding that violations of physiological functions are the basis for the development of certain diseases of the body. At the same time, physiology and anatomy teaches how,
thanks to the activity of sensory systems and the nervous system, through behavioral
reactions and cognitive functions, each person can form a harmonious interaction of the
organism and his environment, including the social environment. The modern world with its
challenges and threats poses a global task to physiology as a science, how,
having known a person in all his manifestations, to make him happy. The knowledge obtained from the
discipline "Physiology and Anatomy of Man and Animals" can be used as
basic in conducting research in all sections of physiological science (CNS physiology,
circulatory physiology, digestive physiology, physiology of work and sports, etc.), and in
interdisciplinary sciences (pharmacology; ecological physiology, zoopsychology, etc.).
